Transcribed on your iPhone
Inkday uses Apple's on‑device speech recognition. Your voice becomes text without touching a server — which is why it works just as well at 30,000 feet as it does at home.
Zero network code in the app. Not "minimal". Zero.
A private voice diary for iPhone
Tap once, talk for a minute, and your words settle onto a quiet paper page — transcribed on your iPhone, stored on your iPhone, readable only by you.
Not a habit tracker. Not a social journal. Not another subscription. Just a quiet place to say how the day went.
How it works
Inkday removes everything that stands between you and the page. There is no onboarding, no account, no folders to organise — only today, waiting.
Inkday opens on today. One tap on the ink orb starts recording — no menus, no "new entry" screen.
Say whatever the day was. Thirty seconds or ten minutes. Tap again when you are done.
Your iPhone turns speech into text right there, then chooses a soft colour for the day. Nothing is uploaded — it is already on your phone.
Made of paper, not feeds
Every feature in Inkday earns its place by making the daily page easier to write or easier to find again. No tags, no search bar, no streak counter.

Each day is exactly one page. No second entry, no threads, no folders. The constraint is the point: it keeps the diary honest and light.
Your days sit along the bottom edge like a strip of film. Drag through them and each day clicks into place with a soft haptic tick, flipping the page above like a notepad.
365 small dots. The filled ones are days you spoke. No numbers, no percentages, no red — just the shape of a year, and a tap takes you back to any day.
After each entry, an on‑device model picks a calm colour and a small icon for the day — a leaf, a cup, a moon. Change it with a tap. The text never leaves the phone to be "understood".
Missed yesterday? Open it and speak. There is no deadline, no warning and no broken streak. A diary should wait for you, not nag you.
The original recording stays with the page. Read the words, or hear your own voice from that day — sometimes the tone says more than the text.
Light mode is cream paper. Dark mode is the same paper at night — warm near‑black, never blue. Both are designed in full, not toggled.
If you want it, one quiet notification a day at a time you choose. No badges, no follow‑ups, no "you're on a roll".
Privacy, by construction
Most apps promise privacy in a policy. Inkday promises it in the code: there is no server to send anything to. No analytics SDK, no crash reporter, no login, no sync. The app cannot leak your diary because it has no way to.

If it is not answered here, it is probably because Inkday simply does not do it — on purpose.
